		<title>The Elderly groups</title>

		<description><![CDATA[The Trust’s coordinators and paraprofessionals, who work in our different programs, and in the community educational centers (CECs), mainly the members of the women committees, have reported the need to address the emerging needs of elders as vulnerable groups who have been alienated in the midst of the ongoing conflict. Many elders either live alone, or their family is uncapable to provide for them. Emergency measures were taken and special activities developed include awareness raising, stress relief, self-care, recreational days, and providing meals to the elderly. Around 200 elderly men and women benefited from these activities so far.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[This program aims at inclusion of children with disabilities, and raising the families’ awareness to the needs and rights of these children, while introducing them to the local institutions that can offer support and rehabilitation. Two specialized clinics for speech therapy and occupational therapy were established in collaboration with local organizations and municipal councils. By end of 2024,The program has reached over 100 families in villages northwest of Jerusalem through home visits, awareness-raising workshops, and free check-up campaigns. The newly established clinics in Biddo and Beit Anan have provided essential therapeutic services to 50 children, focusing on speech therapy, eye and hearing tests, and physical therapy.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[The program aims at limiting illiteracy and decreasing the drop-out rate from schools by operating on three levels: parents, school teachers and young volunteers with the child as the center of the activity, working in small groups of elementary pupils mainly the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade to build up the basic acquired skills in reading, writing, and arithmetic through work papers and didactical activities. Under the program, young volunteers are trained to be mentors of children with learning difficulties.]]></description>
