An awareness raising workshop took place in the village of Beit Anan as part of the cooperation between the Trust of programs and the official and civil society organizations. A group of mothers participated in the workshop in Beit Aanan elementary school to raise their awareness to the risks of abuse through social media.
The workshop was the result of the efforts and cooperation with the department of public relations in the local Police. Capt. Anan Hussain spoke about the importance of healthy social upbringing and dialogue within the family members, and achieving justice and gender equality. He discussed the dangers of the Internet and social media, and the role of the parents in protecting their children from abuse over the internet and the importance of cooperating with the school educators.
The mothers benefited from this day and reported that they were not aware of the risks of surfing the internet.
